A Versalite table lamp designed in 1946 by A.B. Read for Troughton and Young. The Versalite lamps were first shown at the 'Design at Work' exhibition in 1948 and then went on to be widely used at the 1951 Festival of Britain. A very special and collectable postwar lamp.

Aluminium shade with steel arm. The base is part polished and part anodised in brass colour. The arm and shade are highly adjustable.

In nice condition with some wear to the shade and a ding to the base - please ask for further pictures.
