Robin Day model 41 chair
Model 41 chair designed by Robin Day in 1962 for Hille, UK. A second chair is also available.
A refined design with sculptural ash wood back and armrest, upholstered seat in burnt orange fabric and straight tubular chromed legs. The design feels like it leads on from Day’s earlier 675 chair but also shows the influence of 1960s Scandinavian design. Would make a great desk chair.
A rarely seen design by Day, I don’t think i’ve seen these for sale anywhere before.
In good condition. I think the fabric is original, it’s clean with some minor areas of wear. The chrome is in clean condition with no rust. The backrest has some scratches.
