Large abstract painting titled ‘George Street, Edinburgh’ by British artist Ernest F Edwards (1914-2006), signed and dated 1979.
Edwards exhibited widely throughout his career as well as teaching at the Wimbledon School of Art. This painting has a label for ‘20th Century Gallery, Fulham’ where he exhibited in 1979.
The painting has some light paint splattering in places presumably from Edwards studio. It has the original frame of basic metal strips with some wear.
