1950s Beverley Pick pendant light for GEC

£0.00
sold out

Very rare pendant light made by GEC (General Electric Co), 1950s, England and almost certainly designed by Beverley Pick FSIA. As well as designing lighting, Pick was also known for his poster and some incredible exhibition design in the 1950s.

Enamelled grey bowl shade with central thick prismatic glass lens and satin brass fittings. The bowl directs light upwards to the ceiling while also directing some light down through the glass, plus a nice decorative light with the holes around the rim of the shade. It looks equally beautiful turned off.

In very good condition. Remarkably there is no paint loss or damage to the shade or glass. The white fittings have a bit of wear to the paint and the brass has ageing but nothing distracting. Has been rewired.

58cm overall drop x 56cm wide diameter of the shade.
