Vendange tilt-top table, 19th century, France. Originally used in vineyards where it could be stored flat and then used for wine-tasting. Would look wonderful in a bay window or entrance hall.

The table has the most pleasingly shaped legs on a thick central stem. It's simple design would work well both in a traditional or a contemporary setting. One leg is initialled 'V.D.D'

I think the base is elm and the top is pine. The table has been well used and there is a fair bit of historic woodworm (long gone). Please ask for more photos and full condition report.

91cm diameter x 66.5cm high.
