Robin Day Orchestra chairs

£275.00
sold out

A pair of Orchestra chairs designed in 1951 by Robin Day and made by Kingfisher, UK. Kingfisher fabricated the original chairs for the Royal Festival Hall Orchestra pit. These chairs may be part of that production or they could have been made subsquently by Kingfisher. Hille later reworked the design as the 661c chair.

Metal painted frame with plywood veneered backs and seats newly upholstered in a Bute fabric. The chairs are in good condition with wear to the paint finish. The seat backs are in original condition with some wear and a couple of minor veneer chips.
