Unicorn chairs by Ernest Race

£0.00
sold out

A set of four Unicorn chairs designed in 1957 by Ernest Race for the British pavilion at the Brussels World's fair in 1958. The chairs were withdrawn from production shortly after the exhibition finished and thus are very rare chairs, especially as a set of four.

Plywood seats and backs on steel rod frames.

In well-used condition and in need of restoration. The frames all have surface oxidisation and the plywood seats have been overpainted. There is wear to the seats and one back rest is warped and needs replacing. More details and photos available on request.
