1954 Paul Gell abstract painting

1954 abstract painting titled 'Richmond' by British artist Paul Gell.

Gell studied at Bath Academy of Art at Corsham where he was influenced by the teaching of William Scott and others before graduating in 1951. As well as being an artist Gell worked as an interior designer Cunard Cruise Line and Heals.

Gell died in 1996 and this painting was exhibited at the retrospective exhibition organised by his partner Martin Lister. It also has a stamp from the 2010 Paul Gell Studio Sale at W H Lane & Son.

Unframed but I do have the frame that came with it (not original), unfortunately this has some damage.
